Blue Day, which is played before ever home game was written by Snuggs, the singer from Madness.

Chelsea became the first London club win back to back Premier League titles (2004/2005 and 2005/2006)

Chelsea are the first London club to win the Champions League (2011/2012)

Chelsea were the first team to win the FA Cup at the New Wembley Stadium (1-0 v Manchester United) as well as being the last team to win the FA Cup at the Old Wembley (1-0 v Aston Villa).

Chelsea are one of seven clubs to win the Double. 


Chelsea were the first Premier League side to score 100 goals in a season (2009/2010)

George Hildson scored five goals on his debut for Chelsea in 1906. No other Chelsea player has achieved this.

Jimmy Greaves holds the record for the most goals in a season (43 – 1960/1961) as well as the most hat-tricks 13 between 1957 and 1961).

Ray Wilkins was the youngest player to captain Chelsea (19 years old).

Dick Spence (1934-1950) holds the club record for the most penalties scored (40).

Chelsea’s first £1m signing was Denis Wise from Wimbledon (1990 £1.6m).

Bobby Tambling is Chelsea’s all-time top goal scorer (202 between 1958-1970)

Fernando Torres is currently Chelsea’s most expensive signing (signed from Liverpool for £50m).

Chelsea legend Peter Osgood’s ashes are buried under the penalty spot at the Shed End at Stamford Bridge.

Tore Andre Flo scored more goals as a substitute than any other Chelsea player (12).  He ever scored on his debut after coming on as a sub.
